HANKINSON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Tenth Seed Enderlin ended the game on a 22-8 run on the way to a 71-61 victory over Seventh seed Hankinson in a play-in game to reach the Region 1 tournament.

Chance Bye hit a three-pointer with 4:21 remaining to give the Eagles their first lead since 3-2, then sealed the game by hitting 5 of 6 free throws in the closing minutes.

Bye finished with a game high 26 points. Joe Hurlburt added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double. Cameron Yantis chipped in 14 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Enderlin Head Coach Calvin Kraft says every time Hankinson made a run at them, Bye would answer.

 

Mason Falk led the Pirates with 14 points. He added seven rebounds and six assists. Hayden Boll had 13 points and Devan Round added 11 points. Jaxson Mauch had a team high ten rebounds with seven points.

Kraft says this team has matured a lot this season.

 

 

Enderlin improves to 8-13 and will now face second seed Wyndmere-Lidgerwood Monday in the quarterfinal round of the Region 1 tournament in Wahpeton.
