CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dry Dock Sports manager and Carrington businessman Travis Carr can now add movie star to his resume.

In a short film called “The Badlands Girl”, Carr plays the part of the “armorer” in the movie. The film was put together by Daniel Bielinski, executive producer and director of the theater department at the University of Mary. Carr was responsible for providing the guns used in the film as well as advice to the director.

In an interview with Greg Grenz on KDAK, Carr shared his experience with the filming process.

Filming took place in September 2017. Carr says the film was very professional, with over 30 cast and crew members coming together to make the film possible.

Carr shared that the cast and staff were impressed with the beauty of North Dakota, with filming taking place in the Badlands.

A special screening of the short film will be held at the Carrington Theater on Saturday, March 10th. Tickets will be $3. The show will start at 7 PM with “You Beautiful, Crazy, Blind Cripple.” showing first followed by “The Badlands Girl.”
