Jamestown Administrator Releases Information About Curbside Recycling

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – New City Administrator Sarah Hellekson has released her first announcement after taking over the position from Jeff Fuchs.

“Recycling contractor Recycle North Dakota began delivering recycling containers last week,” Hellekson reports. “The recycling containers are owned by Recycle North Dakota. It will be collected beginning Monday, April 2nd.”

Recycling will be collected every other week on regular collection days. Garbage will still be collected weekly on the same schedule.

“This is explained in the packet included in your recycling container,” Hellekson says in her release.

According to Hellekson, automated garbage collection will also begin Monday, April 2nd. She asks that residents have their garbage container at the collection point with the arrows on the lid facing the roadway.

“All garbage must be in the new, brown garbage container with the lid closed. After April 1st, waste outside of the new, brown garbage container will not be collected,” Hellekson explains.
