JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown will no longer be picking up garbage in the alleyways beginning March 19th.

According to the City Engineer’s Office, changing weather conditions have caused extremely muddy conditions in the alleys, making alleyway garbage pickup difficult. City Sanitation crews will no longer be picking up garbage in the alleyway. The city says until further notice, residents are advised to place garbage containers on the boulevard no further than 3′ from the curb on scheduled pick up days.

You’re asked to place garbage out for pick up by 7 AM. Trucks will not return to the area for missed garbage placed after the scheduled garbage route has been completed.
