JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Employees of several local businesses recently attend a day-long business training class in Microsoft Word, which was provided by a TrainND in partnership with the chamber and the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation.

Those who participated included Tracy Ruggles, Barb Johnson and Janet Steinberger from Cargill Malt; Jen Guthmiller from Dakota Carrier Network and Colleen Sweet from Foster County Public Health.

Trainer Ed Cronin, Adjunct Professor, provided an in-depth, hands on opportunity for the attendees to learn the basics of the software program, and to address some of their questions about how to best utilize the program. A comprehensive manual, and ability to actually work on the computer the entire day, was a component of the training.

The partners are providing additional business training in various software, including an Excel level 1 class coming up on Wednesday, March 28th, a WORD 2 class to be held on April 11th and an Excel 2 class to be held on April 25th.

Several more classes are planned for this spring and summer.
