BISMARCK, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com) Carrington Senior Jayden Shipman scored 12 points, pulled down nine rebounds, but the Woodchucks of St. John would get the victory on Saturday night in the third place game over Carrington 56-52.  Carrington ends their season at 23-4, St. John ends at 25.2.

Leading the way for St. John was Senior Kyler McGillis with 27 points.  McGillis had to leave the game with about 90 seconds left in the fourth quarter after he was hit right above the left eye going for a lose ball, causing blood to roll down his face. He would re-enter the game with about 30 seconds left all stitched up. Senior Dalton Prouty added four points, 13 rebounds, six assists and eight steals.  Adam Jollie added 12.  For the Cardinals, Junior Trey Rosenau added 12 points and nine rebounds.  Carrington shot 41% from the field, St. John 37%.  There were 13 lead changes and one tie.
