The angels called Patty, 90, home on Holy Saturday, March 31, 2018. Patricia Florence (Lipetzky) Neva was born on the farm on March 17th, 1928 in Kensal, ND. She was the oldest daughter of Kathleen (Kienast) and Leo Lipetzky.

Patty attended McKinley School #4 and St. Johns Academy, Jamestown. While going to school she worked at Scott’s 5 and 10. Even though farm life meant hard work, Patty immensely enjoyed that life with her family. On June 16, 1947 Patty married Louis Neva at St. John’s catholic church in Kensal. Louis was the barber in Kensal and that is where they began their married life raising five daughters.

Along with being a dedicated mother, Patty worked at the Kensal Public School as a cook. She was also very active in the church in many ways whether it was helping with linens, maintaining the cemetery, or with circle activities. Her true passions were her faith, family and home – which was always open to all. Patty was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors of America, St. Elizabeth Circle, Altar Society and served as secretary/treasurer of St. John’s Cemetery Association. She served her church and community with pride.

Patty is survived by her daughters: Pamala (Frank) Baumgartner, Green Valley, AZ; Gail Kollman, (late husband Lloyd), Kensal, ND; Beth Neva, Kensal, ND; Cindy (Michael) Mitchell, Eagan, MN; and son-in-law Andy Nykolayow, Fargo, ND. Grandchildren, Tim Baumgartner, Tami Dillman, Lloyd Kollman, Jr., Nathan Kollman, Prentice Kollman, Ana Neir, Bryce Neva, Megan Robertson and Matthew Mitchell. Great Grandchildren: Kaia & Jace Dillman, Morgan & Shaylee Kollman, Emma Morehouse, Hugh, Maxten & Rose Neva and Alessandra & Veronica Neir.
