BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bismarck National Weather Service reports that snow is expected to develop late Saturday night over much of western and south central North Dakota and spread east on Sunday.

Heavy snow is possible with the accumulating snowfall expected for all except northeast North Dakota.

“At this time the greatest chance for heavy snowfall will be over portions of south central North Dakota into the James River Valley,” the NWS reports. “This includes the Bismarck, Jamestown, Ashley, and Ellendale areas.”

The heaviest snows are expected to be between 6 to 8 inches in most of southern North Dakota. Stay tuned to your local i3G Media station for constant weather updates and road reports.
