FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City had a strong showing at The EDC Indoor Meet held Friday at NDSU. The girl’s and boy’s teams will travel to Grand Forks on Thursday, April 12 for another meet to close out the indoor season at the University of North Dakota.  With the way the weather has been, it might be some time before an outdoor meet is held.

 

Girls

Congratulations goes to the girls team who set eleven personal records at the EDC Indoor meet.

The outstanding performer of the meet was a tie this week going to Jocey Kriewald for the second week in a row for her performances in the 60 and 200 meter races where she set two personal records. The other was Lexi Triebold who competed in the 400 meter, Long Jump , and 4×400 relay.  Lexi set a new personal record with her performance in the 400 meter.

Britta Roehrich is beginning to good form in the Triple Jump and placed eighth with her performance.

VeVe Lee had another outstanding meet as well and set two new personal records in the 60 and 400 meter races.

Mikayla Wolla is beginning to get stronger in the 400 meter as she set another personal record in the event for the second straight meet.

Notable Performances:

Morgan Nelson – New personal record in the Long Jump

Olivia Olson – New personal record in the 60 meter

Izzy Plagens – New personal record in the 200 meter

Macy Reinhart – New personal record in the 60 meter

Boys

Jordan Eggermont was the boys top performer of the meet placing eighth in the 60 meter hurdles and setting a new personal with his efforts.

Cade Powers continues to lead the in the sprints and set two new personal records. Also in the sprints Luke Wendel continues to show promise as he also set two personal records.

Not to be out done was the throwing crew of Tanner Thomsen, Blaine Moffitt, and Buddy Scheer who all set personal records in shot put.

The jumping duo of Peyton Zaun and Trevor Winter have continued to push each other in the long jump and triple jump and have both again set personal records in each event.
