JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Wildlife Federation (SCWF) has been promoting and sponsoring youth events annually since 1915 to promote sound wildlife management.

SCW Member Cathleen O’Higgins says they do more than just hold youth education and hunting events in the county.

O’Higgins says they often team up with other wildlife clubs in the county to provide outdoor events and activities.

She says they also hold their youth fishing day and youth pheasant hunt in the fall. SCWF will be celebrating Earth Day on April 22nd with an event on the 21st.

O’Higgins says they will only be able to accommodate for 40 individuals, so space will be limited. Registration is free and must be completed by Sunday, April 15th to guarantee a T-shirt. As of Wednesday, there were only 15 spots left.

Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts may also use the event to qualify for a belt loop, pin, or merit badge.
