Coach’s Comments

We had many positives from our first match.  Reagan and Cali played some high quality doubles in the second set of their match, taking over the net and having a high intensity along with both playing some inspired singles.  Hannah Dockter came back to win a second set after dropping the first by playing consistent.

Hope Petersen was really moving the ball around on her opponent and giving her fits.  And I believe it was Hope, Maisie, Kayla, and Haley’s first indoor match ever in girls tennis.  It was a great day to get more court time and experience.

As it is the first match without much court time, we do have a long ways to go this season to get to our peak.  Anticipation, footwork, and racquet preparation need some work across the board.  Also – we need to attack at the net instead of just hitting balls back.  Its early in the season, we will work together to improve!
