OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Falcons of Enderlin/Maple Valley improved to 2-0 in Class B Region I play after an impressive 12-2 five inning victory over Oakes at Cummings Field Tuesday night.

EMV put up eight runs in the first inning; chasing Tornadoes starting pitcher Mike McKenna out of the game after just two-thirds of an inning. The Falcons registered five hits in the opening salvo, including two doubles from Chance Bye.

Jacob Johnson earned the victory for the Falcons, going all five innings, surrendering five hits and striking out nine. Oakes (0-1) had a triple, single and run score from Taylor Schall in the defeat.
