Allan Louis Anderson, age 88, of Valley City, ND, died April 28, 2018, at home under the care of Hospice.  A private family memorial service has been held.

Allan was born February 13, 1930, to Carl and Anna (Bayasch) Anderson at their rural Marion, ND farmstead.  He attended Greenland Consolidated School and graduated from Marion High School in 1948.  Allan attended the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN; graduating in 1950.  He met Della Topp in Valley City in 1955 and they were married December 17, 1955.  He worked for Kenny Dawkins for several years before moving to Larimore, ND and joining the US Civil Service to work at Grand Forks AFB from 1966 to 1979.  In 1979, he and his family moved to Chandler, AZ, where he worked in the Civil Service at Williams AFB.  He retired in 1990 and moved back to Valley City, ND.

For several years he owned Al’s Precision Service Center selling Lawnboys and repairing small engines.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Marion Lutheran Church.  Was a member of the Larimore Methodist Church and an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Chandler, AZ.  He was also a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Assoc.  Allan had a lifelong passion for Antique Cars.  He was a founding member of the Red River Valley Horseless Carriage Club.  He was also a founding member of the Larimore, ND Community Museum.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Della, his son Steven (Debbie) Anderson of Spring Creek, NV and son Wesley Anderson of Valley City.  Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings and their spouses.
