David Alon “Otto” Larson, age 57, of Valley City, ND, died Sunday, May 13th from complications from ALS and a recent head trauma due to a fall.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn, ND.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and one hour before the service Saturday morning.  A vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday evening at the church.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.

David Alon Larson, the son of Raymond and Jean (Isley) Larson, was born April 24, 1961 in Valley City, ND.  David grew up and attended school in Valley City and graduated from Valley City High School in 1979.  David graduated from the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND in 1985.  After receiving his education, Dave began working part time for the North Dakota Department of Transportation in Valley City and full time employment in 1987.  He was also the Fargo Forum newspaper agent in Valley City for 22 years.  David married Nancy Didier on June 27, 1987 in Sanborn, ND.  They lived their life in Valley City where they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a cruise last spring.  David was an avid grill master and cook, enjoyed motorcycles, detailing his vehicles to perfection, spending time with his family and taking full advantage of the DVR remote to watch football.

David is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy; two daughters, Hilary (Tommy) Zinke and Haley Larson, two grandchildren, Callum and Isley Zinke; mother-in-law, LaRene Didier; Sister Jane (Bob) Thomas; Brother Keith (Sally) Larson; brothers and sisters in law, Ken (Susan) Didier, DuWayne (Bev) Didier, Kay (Butch) Cox, Jeff Burchill, Dwight (Melody) Didier, Linda (Ron) Sorensen, Donna Didier and Barb Loibl; numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Linda Wolski, one brother in law Steve Wolski, father in law Harry Didier, Jr and several sisters in law and brothers in law.
