Coach’s Comments

After about an hour rain delay, we started the opening round at Elephant park.  In that match, Shanley had a number two doubles team that caught fire after the first set.  We had the line-up to take them out, but their #2 team just went next level.

In the 90 degree heat, we played our second match against Fargo North.  We went with the same line-up and lost 3-2 where two of the losses were in the third set.

Cali and Hope were playing well together at #1 doubles.  Cali was putting balls away and Hope was getting to more balls than usual.  Great job!  I hope to see a lot of these two together in the future as they are both sophomores.

Angela and Hannah ran into that buzz saw of a team in the first round, and then very good doubles team in the second round.  Those seniors left it on the court in their last team matches as Hi-Liners.

Reagan came out and put both matches away without much fan fair.  Reagan’s a gamer – always has been – and she had her game today!

Hannah Aberle played her best match the year today against Fargo North.  She moved her feet the most, she attacked the ball, she came to net when appropriate, and she believed.  Great match today.

Maisie got some great experience today against Rabadi and Vogelwede.  Maisie has grown leaps and bounds these last few weeks and she has the base now for the growth to continue!
