JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Talking Trails are sure to see a lot of action this summer as tourist season begins.

Established in 2016, the Talking Trails bring the history of Jamestown to life by giving individuals an opportunity to call a phone number on plaques around the area. The numbers will give the caller an audio message with details and historical facts about the location or point of interest.

Right now, there are more than 70 points in the Jamestown area. Jamestown Tourism announced that they have added a new one.

“A new story called ‘First-Born Baby Tells Hospital History’ is located at the Legacy Center,” a release states. “Richard Hall, the first baby born in the Jamestown Hospital, tells of the struggles and trials during its more than 80 year history.”

The point is the contribution of the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

“When the community built the hospital in 1929, it did so with money raised from selling pillow cases and homemade jam. That community investment is what continues to help JRMC thrive today,” says Katie Ryan-Anderson, marketing manager.
