JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Class A baseball and softball all-state teams were unveiled on Monday and two Jamestown High athletes found themselves on the list. And it was both of the team’s backstops. Sophomore catcher Tommy Falk was named to the baseball all-state team and senior Sydney Soulis was named to the softball all-state team.

Falk took over the catching duties full-time after the graduation of Ben Friebel, whom he split with as a freshman. Falk hit .285 with six extra base hits and 15 RBIs and helped the Jays to the number four seed in the West Region tournament.

Soulis finished up her four-year run as the starting catcher this year. She finished with an average of .432, 2 HRs, and 36 RBIs. The Jamestown softball team finished the year at 14-12 and went two-and-out in the region tournament.
