JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the Spring baseball season in the rearview mirror, sites are now set on the summer season. With traveling youth baseball and Post 14, the sounds of summer will be filling the air at Jack Brown Stadium.
Post 14 will open up the season tonight with and exhibition doubleheader with Post 400 out of Fargo.
Justin Connell begins his third season at the helm of Post 14. And he says one key to this season’s team is the depth at pitching.

With no real big boppers on the team, small ball will be a big part of their offense. Something coach Connell says this group should be good at.

Counting tonight’s exhibition games with Fargo, Post 14 has five exhibition games scheduled before the the conference opener with Washburn on June 14. Connell says just getting back into the feel of the game will be the focus on these exhibition games.

One new wrinkle this season is some of the opposing teams. Post 14 has dropped down to Class A this season. The will play in the Southwest Divison with the Bismarck Capitals, Bismarck Reps, Dickinson Vols, Mandan A’s and Washburn.
First pitch tonight at Jack Brown Stadium will be at 5:30 tonight with Fargo Post 400 which is a Class AA team.
