OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Five runs in the fourth and fifth inning propelled the Oakes Post 36 American Legion baseball team past Hankinson-Fairmount-Lidgerwood 12-4 Monday night at Cummings Field.

Post 36 (3-1 Class B Southeast Region) trailed by two before tying the game in the bottom of the second inning. H-F-L (0-2) took the lead with a run in the top of the fourth, before Oakes scored five in the bottom part of the frame, three beings scored off the bat of Taylor Schall, which turned out to be the winning hit.

Sam Huffman earned the win for Oakes, going three and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and striking out a batter.
