ENDERLIN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Enderlin legion baseball ended a long stretch of games with another regional win Thursday night. The Railcats topped Ellendale 9-5 for their 6 consecutive victory in the region. Ellendale won the 5 inning game 8-4.

After Thursday’s game Enderlin will get some time off before hosting their wood bat tournament the weekend of July 6th.

Game 1: Enderlin 9 vs. Ellendale 5

The Railcats scoring came in bunches, they plated 5 in the 1st and 4 in the 3rd. Dustin Kasowski was 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 RBI. Chance Bye had a 3 hit game and Brandon Utke added 2 RBI. Clayton Grueneich hit 2 home runs and drove in 4.

Bye worked a complete game win, he struck out 9 and allowed 5 earned runs. Easton Haugen was the losing pitcher for Ellendale, he was tagged for 7 earned runs in 3 innings.

Game 2: Ellendale 8 vs. Enderlin 4 (5 Innings)

Ellendale overcame a 4-1 deficit scoring 7 unanswered runs. Walker Bruns hit a solo home run for Ellendale and Cody Merkel and Spencer Vetter drove in runs. Colton Sorenson drove in a run for The Railcats.

Alex Sumption did not give up a run in 4 innings as the winning pitcher for Ellendale.
