JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Mainstreet Jamestown was full of kids and parents showing their American spirit Wednesday.

The Jamestown Downtown Association’s Kiddie Bike Parade was held on July 4th with numerous kids in attendance. The event had kids and their bikes or wagons dressed up in red, white, and blue. The ride has become a 4th of July tradition in Jamestown.

Jamestown Downtown Association President Lynn Lambrecht says it was started by Charlie Kourajian when he worked with the JDA. Lambrecht stated they were dedicating the ride to him.

The parade started in the parking lot across from Gun & Reel and was police escorted down 1st Avenue North to McElroy Park.

While numbers of those participating wasn’t known, Lambrecht stated that they were proud of the amount of parents and kids that signed up.

Below are some photos and video from the parade.
