MAYVILLE, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com) Post 25 traveled to Scott Berry Field on the campus of Mayville State University on Tuesday night for a Class B Central Region double header.  Carrington won the first game 5-1, but lost the second game 6-0.  Post 25 is now 6-3 in the region and 16-6 overall, MPCG is 11-6 overall and 7-4 in the region.

In the first game, Carrington scored two runs in the top of the third inning and that would be all they would need.  Gunner Buskness was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and a 2-RBI single and was hit by a pitch.  Jayden Shipman had two singles and scored a run for Post 25.  Payton Smith picked up the victory on the mound working all seven innings. Sam Satrom suffered the loss, working all seven innings.

In the second game, the game was scoreless through eight innings, then May/Port/CG poured on the runs in the top of the ninth, sending 12 batters to the plate and scoring six runs.  Preston Edinger picked up the victory on the mound, working an inning and a third in relief of Jackson Braaten, who worked seven and two-thirds.  Seth Nelson took the loss.  Lucas Geiszler started for Post 25 and worked seven innings, Nelson an inning and two-thirds and Brandon Larson recorded the third and final out in the top of the ninth. Sam Satrom was 2-for-5 at the plate with a single and a two-run double. His brother, Sawyer, had two singles and an RBI.  Jordan Sherva added three singles and scored a run.
