JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A shortage of diaper donations in the region led to the first ever South Central Homeless Coalition Diaper Drive in 2016.

Heading into its 3rd year, the coalition is gearing up to surpass the $5,300 in donations the raised last year.

Zenithe Leininger is on the South Central Homeless Coalition Board and the Diaper Drive Committee. She says the need for diaper donations and supplies remains high.

Leininger says a baby could go through between 2,500 to 3,000 diapers in their first year. She says donations made at one of their several sites in the region will stay local and help those in the area with their diaper and supply needs.
