The funeral service for Warren S. Lindvold, 72, Valley City, North Dakota formerly of Nome, North Dakota will be 10:30 am Friday, July 27, 2018 at Waldheim Lutheran Church, rural Kathryn, North Dakota. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Waldheim Cemetery. He died Saturday, July 21, at Sandford Medical Center, Fargo.

Warren S. Lindvold was born June 28, 1946 in Valley City, North Dakota, the son of Ernest Warren and Gertrude Luella (Larson) Lindvold. He was baptized and confirmed at Waldheim Lutheran Church. Warren attended the Lindvold School north of their farm and at the 6th grade he started at Nome school where he graduated in 1964. He received his Diesel Mechanic degree at North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton. Warren entered the National Guard and then came back home where he farmed with his dad and uncle, Earl. He retired in 2002 and he moved to Valley City in 2016.

Warren enjoyed walking and mowing grass. Every day you would see him at various coffee shops to visit with friends.

He was a member of Waldhiem Lutheran Church and was currently the vice president of the council and former trustee. He was the head grounds man for the church yard making sure the grass was mowed when needed. Warren was also one of the main dishwashers at the church dinners.

Warren is survived by his sister LuAnn (Donavon) Janssen, Boulder, Colorado; two nephews, Clark and Brian and one niece, Carlen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
