JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hundreds came out to Jamestown’s National Night Out event in McElroy Park Tuesday evening.

National Night Out is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

The event featured free food, inflatable games, a foam pit, and all the area’s emergency services and law enforcement personnel & vehicles. Jamestown Police Major Justin Blinsky says they couldn’t have asked for a better turnout.

The event had things for kids and adults to do, but a big draw was the foam pit with the Jamestown Fire Department.

It’s estimated around 800 to 1000 people came out. Below are some photos and video from the event.
