ENDERLIN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Maple Valley/Enderlin has struggled through some growing pains to start their 2018 season.

Week 1 saw a 12-6 loss to Central Dakota while last week they couldn’t contain the running game of Lisbon in a 46-24 defeat. Now with home field advantage, The Falcons hope to turn things around against Northern Cass in Enderlin.

Lisbon racked up 441 rushing yards and scored on their opening drive. MVE answered back and were up 8-6 in the first quarter but then is was all Broncos. until Late into the second half. Lisbon went up 38-8 when The Falcons made a final push and cut the score to 38-24.

The comeback was ended when Lisbon tagged on one last touchdown, despite their efforts falling short coach Nathan Hoots was encouraged by their effort in the 4th quarter

 

Friday will be The Falcons first chance to play at home and is the first road trip for Northern Cass. The Jaguars, who own a 1-1 record, are built similar to Lisbon with experienced blockers and a core of strong runners. This week for The Falcons has been structured around establishing some strength on defense

 

Kick off between Northern Cass and Maple Valley/Enderlin is 7pm Friday night at Hendrickson Field in Enderlin.
