VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley Bluff Apartments is open to prospective renters on east main in Valley City.

The Area Chamber Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 12th. Investor Paul Diegel said they are steadily filling the apartment building.

A group of investors led by Paul and Tanya Diegel of Six D Construction built the 43 unit apartment complex just west of the South Central Adult Services garage in Valley City.

Diegel said 4 units will have low income guidelines to rent, 4 units with moderate income levels to rent. He said if they qualify they will have a lower rent level that also includes utilities.

He said 20 units are designated for Essential Service Workers. For example, teachers, police officers, fireman, health care, city/county employees or those people necessary to the community and its function.

Diegel said the lower rents are possible because of a 30% grant from the state due to the Housing Incentive Fund program (HIF) through the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency.
