VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – September is emergency preparedness month and Barnes County Emergency Manager Sue Lloyd is reminding everyone to be prepared before a disaster strikes.
She’s encouraging residents to sign up for alerts and warnings using the Code Red System available on the Barnes County Website.
She said successful planning consists of putting together an emergency kit, having a plan in place and being informed about how to respond to emergencies and disasters.
Below are a number of tips for residents to get themselves and their families prepared for an emergency.
