VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Joel Morgan, KOVC Sports Director in Valley City, is assisting the Valley City Public School District and the “Restoring the Legacy” fundraising committee reach their goal of $500k for Phase I of the Hanna Field Athletic Complex.

Morgan, Voice of the Hi-Liners, has volunteered to be locked into the press box at Hanna Field following the Hi-Liner Volleyball game on Tuesday, September 18 and to remain in the press box until the pep rally at Valley City High School on Friday, September 21st  at 1:45pm.  Joel will turn over his house keys and grab his pillow and sleeping bag from the members of the fundraising committee during the volleyball game on Tuesday evening.

A community effort to “Free Joel” is now underway and donations can be made in the following ways; hand to Joel during the home volleyball games or the press box at Hanna Field, submit online at hiliners.org(Hanna Field), drop off at the KOVC offices or VCPS District Offices, or email the donation form found at the www.hiliners.org The goal is to raise $10K to “Free Joel” before the pep rally on Friday afternoon.

Consider challenging another business in Valley City or making a donation to “Free Joel” from the cold, dark confines of the Hanna Field Press Box.  This is your opportunity to donate to the “Restoring the Legacy” project at Hanna Field and be kind to our “Voice of the Hi-Liners” Joel Morgan.
