Coach’s Comments
We tried a different doubles line-up today to mix things up and see if
something else would work better.  We will continue to figure out what is
best for the team come the 3-2 line-up.

Austin and Bennett in doubles really utilized resetting the point to stay
in rallies longer winning several of those points.  In singles, both
Austin and Bennett showed at times the focus, footwork, belief, and attack
needed to win.  We need to sustain those stretches for entire matches.
This not only goes for these two, but the whole team.

The match of the day was played by Seth Zeltinger.  He got down in a hole
1-5 and continued battling back eventually forcing a tiebreaker.  In the
tiebreaker, Seth was down 6-4 and had two match points against him.  He
saved those two match points and went on to win four points in a row
taking the tiebreaker 8-6 and winning the match.  Seth has improved his
serving game and serving consistency.  He is figuring out his ground
strokes to become more consistent.  He is learning by experience how to
construct points and win those points.  Also, Seth continues to fight for
every point regardless of the score.  Great job, Seth!

>The JV team continues to improve with each match, posting a 6-8 record
>today. Max Magnuson went 3-0, with a strong singles win showing he can
>serve with consistency and move his opponent around the court.  Gabriel
>Little Dog had a breakthrough singles match, demonstrating his ability to
>keep the ball in play and finding more serving success.  (From Coach
>Susan Kringlie)
