SPIRITWOOD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – North Dakota State Senators, Representatives, and members of Midwest AgEnergy took time Tuesday to tour the Dakota Spirit AgEnergy plant.

The plant, which was built in 2015, has been bringing value to Spiritwood and the Jamestown area through jobs, economic activity, and providing a local market for farmers’ corn.

Midwest AgEnergy CEO Jeff Zueger stated that they invited out state delegates to come tour the facility.

Zueger pointed out that trade war escalation at the federal level has had some effects on the plant, but they’ve also had some issues affecting them domestically.

Zueger says the importance of the plant can be found in the numbers.

Another opportunity through the plant was being explored with bringing in students from area schools through the plant to show them the process.

Following the tour, a discussion was held on corn production and more between business leaders, senators, and representatives. Below is a list of those who attended the tour.
