VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Free, free at last.

Joel Morgan, KOVC AM 1490’s sportscaster, dedicated the past few nights sleeping inside the the press box at Hanna Field. Morgan did so to assist the Valley City Public School District and the “Restoring the Legacy” fundraising committee in reaching their goal of $500,000 for Phase I of the new Athletic Complex.

Donations were given and challenges issued in order to raise the final $10,000 for the first phase, which was blown out of the water.

“We set out to raise $10,000 and thanks to the great support of the community, we absolutely crushed our goal and raised $16,500 for the project,” Morgan told the Valley City students and faculty during their pep rally.

“There’s still work to do so if you can, please go out and make a donation so we can restore the legacy!”

Donation information can be found at the www.hiliners.org website under the Hanna Field heading. Otherwise, information can also be obtained by contacting the district office at 701.845.0483 or contacting school district superintendent at email address- josh.johnson@k12.nd.us.
