JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High girls golf team is currently in 10th place after Day 1 of the state golf tournament being held at the Jamestown Country Club. Century leads the team scores while there is a three-way tie for first individually.

Jamestown’s top golfer is Alyssa Zachrison who carded a first day 92. The Jays top scorer during the regular season Kyra Vogel shot an opening 97.

There is a three-way tie for first in the medalist race; Minot’s Becca Tschetter, Century’s Hannah Herbel, and Sheyenne’s Maggie Manson all tied at 79.

Century leads the team score with the Herbel sisters leading the way with a 332. Jamestown is in 10th with a first day 386.

The tournament continues at the Jamestown Country Club today.
