BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – One of North Dakota’s biggest hunting seasons kicks off Saturday.

The North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports that the regular, male pheasant only season starts October 6th and runs through January 6th, 2019.

Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says the population will vary from county to county and even township to township.

Leier reminds out of state hunters that they cannot hunt on Game & Fish owned or managed land for the first week of the season. Leier says other than that, there isn’t much difference from last year.
