JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The WDA cross country meet was suppose to be held in Jamestown over the weekend, but due to bad conditions it was moved to Bismarck. That didn’t stop Jamestown sophomore Meghan Ford from claiming the West Region Title with her performance on Saturday.

She won the race by 45 seconds over Watford City’s Kayla Ogle. Century took home the girls team title with 75 points, five clear of Mandan.

Jamestown as a team came in 8th. Eliza Herrick was second on the team, she finished in 58th.

The state tournament will be in Jamestown on October 27th as Ford will look to win her first state title. She finished seventh in 2017.

On the boys side, Gavin Haut finished 20th to lead the Jamestown boys to a 5th place finish at the WDA meet.
