JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Residents of a 12-unit apartment in Southeast Jamestown were displaced Monday evening after a fire broke out on the upper floor of the building.

The Jamestown Fire Department reports that an upper apartment of the building at 503 15th Street Southeast sustained fire damage as well as water damage that spread to the lower two levels. No injuries were reported.

The apartment resident was attended to by first responders, but declined medical treatment. All residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross while others seek other living accommodations.

Five units and 29 fire fighters were on the scene for more than an hour. The cause remains under investigation.
