VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Last year was a successful one for the VCSU women’s basketball team, they won a program record 25 games, a NSAA Tournament title and were the home team at The NAIA National Tournament.

The Vikings return several key contributors this season with 5 seniors on the roster, 2nd year head coach Vanessa Keeler-Johnson says they have set the expectations high this year

 

VCSU’s schedule begins with 2 home game then puts them on the road for 7 straight featuring GPAC Teams and DII and DIII programs. Preparing for the tough non-conference schedule started with offseason conditioning

 

The Vikings play for the first time this season Sunday as part of a doubleheader with the men, its also Elementary Day where kids under the age of 12 and their parents get in for free. Tip off is at 2pm.
