JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High football team finished 6-3 for the second consecutive season following a 56-6 win over Grafton on Saturday and will again be the number four seed in the Class AA playoffs. Another match-up with Devils Lake looms on Saturday, just two weeks after beating the Firebirds 35-6.

Jared Kallenbach scored two touchdowns in the win over Grafton, including a 73-yarder on the first play from scrimmage. A game that was never in doubt allowed Coach Bill Nelson to get some younger players into the game.

The scoreboard watching was long over when Jamestown took the field against Grafton, Central Cass was in the process of routing Valley City. So, Jamestown knew they would likely be seeing Devils Lake for the second time in 15 days.

The game will be played Saturday evening at 6pm from Ernie Gates Field. Jamestown is hosting state cross country and WDA swimming so that’s part of the reason for the later start.
