JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Roughrider Rodeo Association of North Dakota held their State Rodeo Finals in Jamestown over the final October weekend.

Approximately 315 participants competed in everything from bareback riding, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and more. Jamestown Civic Center Director Pam Fosse said everything went well on their end for the event.

Fosse says attendance numbers won’t be known until it’s reported to the Civic Center. Councilmember Dan Buchanan stated from an outside view, it appeared to have a very successful event.

Fosse says most contestants from outside of the Jamestown area, showcasing the impact the event has for the community. She says although there were some complaints received, event organizer Greg Carlson responded very quickly.
