JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown volleyball team has made a habit of December trips to Sioux City and the NAIA National Championships, even skipping the opening round the last two years.

Despite finishing fifth in the GPAC, the Jimmies are in.

They will have to play an Opening Round match for the time since 2014. Jamestown will host Haskell (Kan.) on Saturday at Newman Arena with a start time of 1:30 PM.

The Jimmies are 21-8 and lost to No. 11 Midland in the GPAC quarterfinals in four sets. Dordt got the highest seed of any GPAC team, No. 5, after winning the conference tournament.

Viterbo and Bellevue got in as members of the NSAA.
