MINOT, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jay volleyball team was beaten by West Fargo in the Class A quarterfinals on Thursday, 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 25-10, 22-25, 15-13). The loss drops the Jays to the consolation round where they will play Shanley on Friday at 3pm.

In the first set, Jamestown lead 18-13 and the Packers rattled off a 12-2 run to close the set. And the third set was an absolute West Fargo domination. With Jamestown up 7-5, the Packers scored 20 of the final 23.

Jamestown rallied in set four after falling down 4-0 to take that set and force the fifth. West Fargo led 14-11 and the Jays staved off two match points to make it 14-13. But Mariah Schatz ended the match with one of her match-leading 19 kills on a tip.
