VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Hi-Liner boy’s tennis team gave out their end of the year awards.  Seth Zeltinger won Most Improved, Austin Rogelstad and Bennett Rogelstad were awarded most dedicated and Hale Kringle and Trey Cope won The Hi-Liner Pillars Award.

Blake Triebold was named team MVP. He had the most wins at 16 and highest overall winning percentage at 44% along with the most singles wins at 13 and highest singles winning percentage at 48%.

Triebold took 8th place at the EDC singles tournament and upset the #5 from the West, the #3 from the East, the #4 from the West, and the #5 from the East to take 5th place at the State singles tournament.

Blake earned All-EDC and All-State honors.  He was the first VCHS boys tennis player in over a decade to earn All-State.

Austin Rogelstad had the most doubles wins at 9 while Jack Ingstad had the highest doubles winning percentage at 47%.

Hale Kringle was a fantastic senior leader on our tennis team this year.  He will be missed next year.  We are motivated to keep getting better.  We pushed many teams this year and we are excited to get after it in the offseason.

The Hi-Liners beat West Fargo 4-1 in the play-in match to qualify for regionals as the 8 seed before going 0-2 in the EDC tourney. They finished 4-12 overall.
