SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (JimmieAthletics.com) – The No. 15 Dordt Defenders used a 57-point second half to pull away from the 20th-ranked University of Jamestown women’s basketball team in a 99-83 win Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
*After trailing 19-14 with 1:51 in the first quarter, the Defenders finished on an 8-2 run to lead 22-21 after the first ten minutes.
*The second quarter featured nine lead changes and five ties. Jamestown’s largest lead of the quarter was four points (26-22), and they led 40-39 with 32 seconds in the half. Dordt’s largest lead was also four points, and Erika Feenstra’s three-pointer with 15 seconds left put the Defenders up 42-40 at the break.
*Seven lead changes and three ties highlighted a third period where both teams combined for 58 points. Dordt was 12-for-18 from the field and Jamestown 10-for-20.
*Feenstra’s second three of the quarter gave Dordt their biggest lead of the game at that point, 70-60 with 1:53 left.
*Dordt scored 14 of their 27 fourth-quarter points at the foul line and held UJ to 5-of-13 shooting to put the game away.

FOR UJ
*Emma Stoehr (SO/Woodbury, MN) led the Jimmies with a career-high 21 points and six assists. She made six of her 14 three-point attempts, tying her for the second-most three pointers made in a game by a Jimmie.
*Jory Mullen (SR/Pierre, SD) also had a career-high 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
*Paige Schmidt (JR/Tappen, ND) knocked down three three-pointers on her way to a career-best 13 points.
*Mya Buffetta (SO/Mountain Iron, MN) came off the bench and set a personal best with 11 points.
*Jenna Doyle (SR/Princeton, MN) grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to go along with seven points.

FOR DORDT
*Feenstra led all scorers with 32 points.
*Rachel Evavold had 15 points and six rebounds.
*Siennah Stamness was also in double figures with 12 points and had seven rebounds.
*The Defenders had just 12 turnovers in the game, compared to 20 for Jamestown

UP NEXT
*Jamestown returns home on Wednesday, December 5, to host No. 5 Northwestern (Iowa) College. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
