JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)  The final day of the 2018 Class B Girls Stutsman County Invitational Basketball Tournament concluded at the Civic Center with four placing games, here are the results:

Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier 50 over Warwick 43 (7th place)

Payton Brandenberg dropped in 16 and and Bailey Anderson added 11 for the Rebels as the defending Stutsman champs take seventh place at this years tourney. Warwick finished in eighth place for the second straight year, Madi Leaf led the way with 21 points.

Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter 57 over Midkota 52 (5th place)

The Imperials played another close game in the third and final day, winning by five points, their previous two games at the tournament were decided by a combined five points. Bailey Heflin had 20 points and Alexa Young added 15 for NGS. Midkota was led by Brenna Anderson with 21 points, including five 3-pointers.

Carrington  73     MPB  49 (Championship)
Addison Hoornaert  and Kiera Eli both scored 15 points each to pace the Carrington Cardinals to a 73-49 victory over the MPB Thunder in the 2018 Stutsman County tournament championship game. The Cardinals had 5 girls reach double figures in the win. Kadyn Mehring (13), McKenzie Johnson (12), and Hannah Hagel (12) added the to the balanced Cardinal scoring. Mehring also grabbed a game high 10 rebounds and Hoornaert added 9 rebounds. Carrington dominated the rebounds with a 38 to 21 advantage. Johnson also had a game 4 steals for the Cardinals. The Cards scored 40 points in the first half and took control of the game leading 40-23 at halftime. MPB senior Amanda Allen scored a game high 24 points and Megan Moser added 18 points. Carrington improved to 3-1 overall and MPB dropped to 3-1.
Ellendale  43     South Border  39 (3rd place)
The Ellendale Cardinals erased a 5 point halftime deficit outscoring SB 25-16 in the second half to defeat the Mustangs 43-39. Abigail Molan paced Ellendale with 14 points and Katelyn Dathe added 12 points and a game high 13 rebounds. Faith Dockter scored a game high 22 points, 5 steals, and added 7 rebounds for SB. Emily St. Aubin added 7 points and 8 rebounds for the Mustangs.
