VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Power House on east main in Valley City is gone.

KLJ engineer Chad Petersen said the demolition work and debris cleanup should be completed this week.

The city commission approved a motion to demolish the power house in the amount of $120,694 at their regular meeting on November 20.

In the summer of 2018 cracks appeared on the structure after construction crews drove steel sheeting into the ground for the foundation for the concrete permanent flood protection wall.
