JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Safe Shelter has continued their mission of providing safety for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.

“If you haven’t heard of us or what we do, that’s probably a good thing,” says Executive Director Lynne Tally.

Since 1980, Safe Shelter has provided services that include emergency shelter to victims living in Stutsman and Foster Counties.

It’s been a big year for the non-profit group. Announced in December 2016, Mary’s Place was built to provide short-term emergency shelter for area victims. Tally says the shelter opened up earlier this year.

Tally says they operate based on donations and grants from the county, state, and federal level. She says they’ve also been grateful to the Jamestown United Way as they have been a big support to their cause.

To help the Safe Shelter or for more information, you’re encouraged to call them at 702-251-2300 or visit safeshelterjamestown.org.
