FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Hi-Liner girls’ basketball team snapped out of 2 game skid in a big way Saturday routing Fargo South 84-35.

Scoring came early for Valley City, Lindsey Noeske was fouled less than 10 seconds into the game and made both free throws. The lead would run to 10 before The Bruins scored off free throws from Paige Schroeder but the defense would continue to keep them in check. It wasn’t until with 8:05 remaining in the half that South would hit their first field goal.

Taryn Dieterle scored 16 to pace all scorers. Grace Scherr and Josie Berntson each had 12 points and Lindsey Noeske 11. Jadyn Dieterle produced 9 points with Megan Roswick, Molly Dockter and Hailey Thoreson adding 8.

Schroeder ended with 10 to lead South. Adie Wagner had 9.

The Bruins drop to 1-4 and 1-3 in The EDC. Valley City in now 3-2 with a 2-2 regional mark. Tuesday night they play at Devils Lake.
