JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is seeking two individuals wanted for questioning following an early Wednesday morning incident.

Lt. Robert Opp reports that at approximately 1:49 AM on January 2nd, officers responded to the Buffalo Motel in Jamestown.

“It was reported that two males and a female had forced their way into one of the rooms, assaulted a male and threatened a female staying in the room” Lt. Opp reports. “They also stole some personal items while leaving.”

The suspects were later identified as Dustin Vaughn, Gabriel Hanson, and Amber Switters, all of Jamestown. The three were ordered to stop. Switters complied, but Vaughn and Hanson did not.

“They got into a dark colored sedan with a temporary registration and no license plates and began to flee the scene. Several officers remained on scene and took custody of Amber Switters on suspicion of terrorizing, assault, burglary, and theft. She was taken to the Stutsman County Correctional Center,” Lt. Opp stated.

Two officers pursued the vehicle with Vaughn and Hanson inside onto 17th Street SW westbound and then onto I-94, reaching speeds in excess of 90 mph. Due to the conditions, the pursuit was terminated.

The Jamestown Police Department is seeking Dustin Vaughn and Gabriel Hanson for questioning. It is not believed that either pose a threat to the public at this time.
