Packers Overpower Hi-Liners in EDC Dual;Larson Becomes Program’s Winningest Wrestler

 

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- In a battle of the east’s top team, West Fargo sent a statement with a decisive 53-21 win against Valley City Tuesday night at The HAC. The Packers kept their regional record perfect at 5-0, dropping The Hi-Liners to 4-1.

Coach Aaron Larson felt that The Packers were able to expose a lot of the team’s inexperience

 

One of the bright spots came at 145lbs when Parker Larson beat Aaron Magnell to surpass Jordan Magnuson as The Hi-Liner’s all time winningest wrestling. He set a new mark with 174 wins. Coach Larson says with the state tournament over a month away, Parker has his sights set on a bigger goal

 

Valley City will travel to Devils Lakes for their next EDC Dual next Tuesday. Right now The Firebirds are tied in The EDC standings with The Hi-Liners are 4-1.
