MADISON, S.D. (PlayNorthStar.com) – Mackenzie Huber of Valley City State (N.D.) was chosen to the eleventh edition of the 2018-19 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

Mackenzie Huber – Valley City State (N.D.) – 6’0″ – Junior – center – Clark, S.D. – Huber posted back-to-back double-doubles as Valley City State (N.D.) went 2-0 record for the week.  She scored 13 points (5-of-11 field goals and 3-of-4 free-throws) and pulled down 13 rebounds in Vikings’ 88-73 victory over Dakota State (S.D.).

She followed up with 19 points (6-of-10 field goals and 7-of-7 free-throws) and 11 rebounds in VCSU’s 67-54 upset victory over No. 24-ranked Bellevue (Neb.).  For the week, Huber averaged 16.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.  She shot 52.4 percent from the field (11-of-21) and converted 10-of-11 free-throws (90.9 percent).
